Dr Helen Armstrong has more than 25 years’ experience spanning both academia and industry with a focus on cyber security, project management, risk and governance, business process analysis and design, social network analysis, problem analysis and solution architecture, strategic planning and decision analysis.

Helen has worked with a variety of organisations including IBM (Sydney), Western Australian Police (Perth), West Point Military Academy (New York) and Curtin University of Technology (Perth).

She is the author of a recent book on “Social Network Analysis” published by John Wiley & Sons and regularly presents at conferences and universities across the globe. She was most recently the Director of the Centre for Organisational Analysis at Curtin University and remains an Adjunct Research Fellow with the School of Business.

Her educational experience is in instructional design expertise and knowledge of different eLearning methodologies and learning management systems, with extensive experience in professional development and education course design for adult learning at tertiary level. With strong facilitation and presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills has led to proven abilities to author high quality written publications.

With her inherent understanding of major concepts and has the ability to explain these concepts and effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels, she has developed strong capability to understand organisational behaviour and utilise the most efficient and effective methods for delivering objectives. This is supported with project management skills evidenced by the successful completion of projects on-time and on-budget, mindfully managing costs against budgets and achieving strategic objectives and operational plans.
