Get Certified by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM)

The Business Education Institute and AIPM Assessor Jim Johnson, is now offering the opportunity for project team members to gain the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) RegPM certification, including the

  • Certified Practising Project Practitioner (CPPP);
  • Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM); and
  • Certified Practising Project Director (CPPD).

This is facilitated through undertaking a competency-based assessment program, online, which requires participants to compile a portfolio of evidence that shows that they are competent at the relevant award level. This evidence can be based on the assessment graduates of the Instittute used to become Nationally qualified. The assessment program involves individual coaching and assessment by a highly qualified and certified project management specialist who is a certified and registered AIPM RegPM Assessor.

The RegPM certification assessment can be conducted independently or in parallel with undertaking the Institute’s Advanced Diploma of Project Management, Diploma of Project Management, or Certificate IV in Project Management qualification assessment.

“Certification” is the term used by professional institutes to recognise individuals who have attained a professional standard and RegPM is the AIPM’s certification program that certifies that they are professionally competent at one of three levels namely the or Certified Practising Project Practitioner (CPPP) – aligned to the Certificate IV level, Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM)- aligned to the Diploma level, or Certified Practising Project Director (CPPD) – aligned to the Advanced Diploma level.

RegPM awards have widespread industry and peer recognition and there is acceptance of the awards both nationally and internationally. There is a growing delineation between project managers who simply practise project management, and those who attain and maintain best practice in project management. RegPM certified members are recognised on an online AIPM Register of Project Managers and become publicly identifiable for their proven competency in project management.

The RegPM certification assessment process is a personalised, individually tailored process of online coaching and mentoring to facilitate successful assessment completion. The process involves: an Initial Briefing/Coaching Session, an Interim Coaching Session, and a Final Assessment Session.

Benefits in attaining the RegPM award for the individual project manager include:

  • Certification gives individuals recognition of their professional capability, as recognised by project management’s peak professional organisation;
  • Widespread national/international recognition by industry and peers;
  • Improved knowledge, skills and competency in project management
  • Delineation between project managers who apply best practice in project management from those who simply practise project management’;
  • Inclusion on the national online AIPM Register of Project Managers, publicly available;
  • Recognition of total capability in project management not only knowledge capability;
  • Award is not industry specific – recognition is therefore transportable across all industries;
  • Award is becoming recognised as a desirable addition to individuals tendering or registering for private and public sector work;
  • Enhanced career prospects; and
  • A competitive edge in the employment market.

Organisations are increasingly adopting RegPM certification as they are finding it facilitates:
